The people who care for your pets — skilled, experienced, and genuinely passionate about animal wellbeing.
We're not a franchise, and we're not a large chain. Mid Town Grooming is a small team of people who chose this work because we genuinely care about animals. Everyone here has spent years developing their skills, and everyone understands that the animals in our care depend on us to be patient, careful, and attentive — every single appointment.
Owner & Lead Groomer
Rachel has been working with animals her entire adult life. She completed formal grooming training in 2011 and spent several years working in larger facilities before deciding to open her own studio in Marion in 2016. She grew up in Waupaca County and wanted to bring consistent, high-quality grooming to a community that often had to drive far for those services.
Rachel's specialties include working with anxious dogs, doodle breed styling, and senior animal care. She is trained in pet first aid and has an ongoing interest in low-stress handling techniques. When she's not at the studio, she's usually at home with her two dogs — a retired racing greyhound named Claude and a stubborn but lovable basset hound mix named Pepper.
Lead Groomer
Jordan joined Mid Town Grooming in 2019 after working at a veterinary clinic for three years. That background gives Jordan a distinct perspective on health-related grooming observations — noticing skin conditions, ear issues, or coat changes that might warrant a vet visit. Jordan's calm energy is particularly effective with nervous dogs.
Groomer – Cat & Small Breed Specialist
Tanya has been grooming professionally for seven years, with a particular focus on cats and small breeds. Grooming cats is a specific skill set — they communicate stress differently than dogs, and the handling approach has to reflect that. Tanya's patient, methodical technique has made her the go-to for our feline clients and their understandably concerned owners.
Client Coordinator
Dana manages our booking calendar, answers client calls and messages, and keeps the front of the studio organized and welcoming. She's usually the first voice you hear when you call and the first face when you walk in. Dana is also trained in basic pet intake and health screening so she can ask the right questions before your appointment.
Studio Assistant & Bather
Luis handles bathing, drying, brushing out, and keeping the studio clean and organized between appointments. His help lets our groomers focus on finishing work without rushing through the early prep stages. Luis is working toward his full grooming certification and has shown a natural aptitude for working with larger, more energetic dogs.
Every member of our team, regardless of role, understands one thing: the animals in our studio are someone's family. They didn't choose to come here, they can't tell us how they feel, and they trust us completely. That weight doesn't go away.
We also understand that owners feel something too — leaving a pet in someone else's hands takes trust. We try to earn that trust not through promises but through consistency. We do the same careful, attentive work for every appointment, whether it's a dog we've known for six years or a puppy seeing scissors for the first time.
