Our full grooming service covers everything your dog needs in a single appointment: a thorough bath with shampoo and conditioner suited to the coat type, professional blow-dry, complete brush-out, breed-specific or owner-specified haircut, nail trim, ear cleaning, and a finishing spritz.
We take care to scissor-finish around sensitive areas like the face, paws, and tail, and we use techniques appropriate for each coat type. Before we begin, we briefly assess the coat condition and confirm the style you're looking for so there are no surprises at pickup.
All dog breeds and sizes. We tailor the approach for each coat type — short and smooth, double coat, curly/wavy, long and silky, and wire coats.
The first few grooming experiences a puppy has can shape their attitude toward grooming for years. Our puppy introduction service is designed specifically to make that first visit a calm, positive one — not a rushed production.
We take our time introducing the puppy to the environment, the sounds of equipment, and the feeling of being handled in ways they may not be used to. The goal is to build confidence, not to complete a show-quality groom. We may not do everything a full groom includes on the first visit, and that's intentional.
We recommend waiting until after your puppy's initial vaccine series is complete before bringing them in — typically around 12–16 weeks, though your veterinarian can advise on your specific puppy's situation.
Puppies under 1 year who are new to professional grooming. Especially helpful for breeds that will need regular professional grooming throughout their lives.
For dogs that don't need a haircut but do need a thorough clean and de-tangle, our bath and brush service covers a professional shampoo bath with conditioner, high-velocity blow-dry, and a full brush-out. Nail trimming and ear cleaning can be added.
This service is particularly useful for smooth and short-coated breeds that don't require trimming, or as a maintenance appointment between full grooms for longer-coated dogs.
Short-coated breeds, dogs that don't need a haircut, and as a between-groom maintenance option for longer coats.
Standalone nail trimming is available for dogs and cats. Nails are trimmed to an appropriate length for the pet's size and lifestyle and filed to reduce sharp edges. Most dogs tolerate nail trims well with a patient, calm approach — we work with nervous pets at their pace. For dogs with black nails where the quick is not visible, we take a conservative approach to trimming.
Suitable for: All dogs and cats. Available as a standalone appointment or add-on to any service.
We clean the outer ear canal using a gentle pet-safe cleaning solution and cotton. For breeds with excess hair growth in the ear canal opening, we also remove that hair to improve airflow. We do not go deep into the ear canal, as this is a veterinary procedure. If we observe signs of infection, discharge, or inflammation, we'll let you know so you can follow up with your vet.
Suitable for: All dogs and cats. Especially important for breeds prone to ear infections like Cocker Spaniels, Poodles, and Basset Hounds. Available as an add-on to any service.
De-shedding treatments use a combination of specialized de-shedding shampoos and conditioners, high-velocity blow-drying, and professional undercoat removal tools to remove loose hair from the undercoat that regular brushing can't reach. The result is typically a significant reduction in shedding for several weeks after the treatment.
This is one of our most requested services, particularly for German Shepherds, Golden and Labrador Retrievers, Huskies, Corgis, and other heavy-shedding double-coated breeds. We do not shave double-coated breeds — the double coat provides insulation in both warm and cold weather and should be maintained, not removed.
Double-coated and heavy-shedding breeds. Most effective as a seasonal treatment, particularly in spring and fall during coat transitions.
Some breeds have very specific grooming standards — Poodles, Schnauzers, Cocker Spaniels, Shih Tzus, Bichon Frises, and many others benefit from groomers who understand breed-specific cuts. We're familiar with the standard cuts for common breeds and can work with owners to maintain the look they prefer for their specific dog.
If you have a less common breed or a mixed breed with a distinctive coat, we're happy to discuss what will work best. Breed-specific grooming is included in our full-service appointments — just mention the style when you book.
Mats and tangles can develop quickly in long-coated breeds, especially around the ears, armpits, behind the legs, and at the base of the tail. Light matting can usually be worked out by hand with detangling solution and a comb. Severe matting that is close to the skin may require shaving — trying to force a comb through severe mats is painful for the dog and isn't something we do.
If your dog arrives with significant matting, we'll assess the coat before starting and discuss the options with you before proceeding. We'll always recommend what's most comfortable for your pet, not just the cosmetically preferred outcome.
Grooming a senior dog or cat requires a different approach than grooming a young, healthy adult. Older pets may have arthritis or other joint issues that make certain positions uncomfortable for extended periods. They may tire more quickly, be more sensitive to temperature, or have skin that has become thinner and more delicate with age.
We keep senior pet appointments calm and unhurried. We allow breaks when needed, use warm water and gentle handling, and adjust our positioning to minimize discomfort. If your senior pet has specific limitations or health conditions, please let us know when you book — the more we know in advance, the better we can prepare.
We don't rush seniors. If a grooming session needs to be split across two shorter visits for a particularly frail or sensitive older pet, that's something we can discuss when you call.
Cats are not small dogs, and grooming them well requires different skills, tools, and a lot of patience. We work with cats in a low-stress way, keeping sessions as brief as is practical while still being thorough. We read cat body language carefully and take breaks when a cat is telling us they need one.
Our cat grooming services include:
Cat grooming appointments require an up-to-date rabies vaccination. We reserve the right to stop a session if a cat is highly distressed — a stressed cat is not a safe grooming environment for the cat or the groomer.
